Female Interview Subjects Needed to Discuss Their Experience of Having a Male Partner Incarcerated

The Experience of Male Prisoners’ Partners

I am conducting research on the experiences of male prisoners’ partners and would like to invite you to participate in my research study. The purpose of the study is to identify difficulties that women face as a consequence of their partners’ incarceration in the provincial system, as well as coping mechanisms that were useful and coping mechanisms that may have been useful had they been available.

As a participant, you will be asked to partake in an interview that could range between 45 minutes – a little over an hour. An interview will be conducted at Rittenhouse at a time that best suits you. If you agree to participate, you may decline answering any questions you feel you do not wish to answer and all information you provide will be considered confidential Furthermore, you will not be identified by name in any thesis, report or publication resulting from this study.

I would like to assure you that this study has been reviewed and received ethics clearance through the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. However, the final decision about participation is yours.
