Mountain River is presently incarcerated and has been since the early 80s. He has always been engaged in what few pro-social activities are permitted inside, as such his conflicts with the system have been many and varied. He has a strong interest in creating a more humane system, that addresses the roots of the problems rather than the symptoms.
We want to discuss what people’s perceptions are about the prison system and what people want to know about life inside. And I want to discuss the differences between the propaganda put out by the government and the reality of how decisions are made, and what policy becomes when it’s actually implemented.
We are inviting questions for the purpose of discussion.
